Where to go for help if you think your child may have neurodevelopmental needs
We believe that every child and young person’s needs are unique and the support provided to them should be tailored to their individual needs.
We know that not every neurodiverse child will need or want a diagnosis, but they may still benefit from support in some areas. The tool will help to identify these areas based on your child’s individual needs, regardless of their formal diagnosis (or lack of). If you decide not to pursue an assessment for your child, or if they don’t meet the criteria for referral or diagnosis, you can still access support via the This Is Me tool.
You can access resources, strategies and advice for each area of your child or young person’s needs with a range of resources that have been designed to support development and wellbeing at every stage.
Our goal is to empower families with the tools and information needed to make informed decisions and ensure every child and young person receives the support that is right for them.
The following resources are available for all children in C&M
Contact – UK Charity that supports families caring for children with additional needs
National Autistic Society – UK Charity supporting autistic people and their families
