Welcome to Surgery School
Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB) helps plan and improve NHS care in our area. Our services reach around 2.7 million people across Cheshire East and West, Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington, and the Wirral.
We work with hospitals and local services to give people the best care possible.
For some types of surgery, we follow Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) principles. This means helping you get ready for your operation, feel better sooner, and get home safely. We focus on clear advice, good pain control, healthy eating, and gentle movement. You can read more about ERAS on NHS.uk.
Even if your surgery does not follow ERAS, the ideas on this website can help you get in the best shape for your operation.
Our goal is simple: better care, faster recovery, and support for you and your family.
