Cheshire and Merseyside teams encouraged to showcase their work in 2027 NHS Excellence Awards

NHS teams are being invited to celebrate their achievements and share the outstanding work making a difference to patients and communities as part of a national awards programme run by NHS England.

NHS staff and teams across Cheshire and Merseyside are being encouraged to put their outstanding work in the spotlight by entering the 2027 NHS Excellence Awards.

The awards celebrate the incredible work taking place across the NHS and wider health and care system, recognising the people, teams and partnerships making a real difference to patients and communities.

From improving patient experience and tackling health inequalities to embracing digital innovation and transforming local services, the awards shine a light on the ideas, dedication and collaboration helping to improve health and care.

They are also an opportunity for teams to share their learning and inspire others, showcasing approaches that could be adopted or adapted to improve services and outcomes in communities across the country. Entries are free and open to NHS organisations and their partners across England.

Teams are encouraged to celebrate the difference they are making by submitting an entry before 12pm on Thursday, 17 December 2026. Regional finalists will be announced in March 2027, with the national winners revealed at the NHS Excellence Awards ceremony at Manchester Central on Wednesday, 16 June 2027.
