NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Annual General Meeting 2026

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s Annual General Meeting was held at the Village Hotel in Warrington on Thursday, 24 September.

Opened by Chair Sir David Henshaw, Chief Executive Liz Bishop and Director of Population Health Ian Ashworth first updated on local delivery of the three shifts articulated in the 10-Year Health Plan – Hospital to Community, Analogue to Digital and Sickness to Prevention - including the establishment of a vaccinations taskforce to encourage uptake of vaccinations among healthcare professionals and members of the public this autumn / winter.

Liz Bishop then presented key highlights from NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s 2025-26 Annual Report before Executive Director of Finance and Contracting Andrea McGee presented the annual accounts.

In a lively public Q&A session which followed, Board members responded to questions about GP access, palliative care, maternity services and data sharing.
