Community Voices

Community Voices brings together residents, patients, carers, community organisations, stakeholders and partners from across Cheshire and Merseyside to share their experiences, perspectives and ideas about health and care.

As a member, you'll have opportunities to contribute to conversations about the health issues that matter to local communities, take part in engagement activities, and receive regular updates on how we’re involving people in shaping healthcare services across the region.

To listen, learn and work together with our communities, creating meaningful two-way conversations and opportunities for people to influence decisions and help shape the future of health and care across Cheshire and Merseyside.

What is Community Voices?

Community Voices is NHS Cheshire and Merseyside's online engagement network, bringing together residents, patients, carers, community organisations, stakeholders and partners from across Cheshire and Merseyside.

By joining Community Voices, you can share your experiences, views and ideas on the health-related issues that matter most to you and your community. You'll also receive regular updates about our involvement work and opportunities to take part in a range of engagement activities, to help shape local healthcare.

What's in it for me?

As a member of Community Voices, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Share your views, experiences and ideas on local health and care services
  • Help influence decisions that affect people and communities across Cheshire and Merseyside
  • Hear about new plans, projects and developments for local service
  • Take part in a range of engagement opportunities, including questionnaires, quick polls, workshops, focus group discussions, patient experience groups, events and other feedback activities
  • Learn how people's involvement is helping to shape and improve services
  • Stay connected with all of the latest involvement and engagement opportunities from NHS Cheshire and Merseyside  
What will Community Voices members do?

Community Voices members can choose to get involved in a variety of ways.

Opportunities may include:

  • Completing surveys and questionnaires.
  • Sharing experiences and feedback on health and care services.
  • Contributing ideas and opinions on plans, programmes and projects.
  • Joining patient experience groups, panels and forums
  • Taking part in online or face-to-face events
  • Receiving updates about how feedback is being used to shape services

Your voice can help ensure that services better reflect the needs, experiences and priorities of local people.

There is no minimum level of participation – members can choose the opportunities that interest them most.

Will my data be kept confidential?

Yes. Any personal information you provide will be kept confidential and managed in accordance with data protection legislation.

The information you provide when joining Community Voices will only be used to administer the network, communicate relevant opportunities and updates, and help us understand whether we are reaching a broad range of people and communities.

Our Privacy Notice explains how we use your information, how long we keep it and your rights, including your right to withdraw your consent and leave Community Voices at any time.

What happens with my feedback?

We are committed to ensuring that the views, experiences and feedback shared through Community Voices help to inform our work. Members will receive updates about engagement activities they have participated in, including how feedback has been used to support service design, service improvement, future planning and decision-making.

Where appropriate, we will share summaries, findings and outcomes so that members can see the difference their involvement is making.

Community Voices is open to:

  • People who live in Cheshire and Merseyside
  • Patients, carers and family members
  • Representatives of voluntary, community and faith organisations
  • Health and care partners and other local stakeholder organisations

We welcome a diverse range of voices and experiences to help ensure that health and care services reflect the needs of all our communities.
