Warrington’s first Family Hub opens
Thursday, 15 May 2025

The West Family Hub in Dallam brings together a range of local services and advice under one roof, making it easier for families to get the support they need, when they need it, and in a way that works for them.
Since 2022, the council has been working to transform existing children’s Centres into Family Hubs.
These hubs are designed to improve access to support and strengthen connections between families and professionals, services and providers.
Family Hubs will act as a central point for early help support and, guidance and activities for children, young people (aged 0–19), and their families.
Whether it's parenting support, financial advice, or baby and toddler and children groups and activities, or midwifery and health visitor clinics, the hubs aim to provide a warm, welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
Other services available at the hub will include support with infant feeding, perinatal mental health, early language development, and more – all tailored to meet the needs of local families.
This new approach has been shaped by feedback from parents, young people and partner organisations, and reflects a shared commitment to making sure support is available at the right time.
The West Family Hub in Dallam is the first of seven family hubs that will be established across the borough - with hubs in each of the three locality areas: East, South and West. Alongside the new family hubs, there is also a youth hub and Warrington Play and Sensory Centre.
Cllr Jean Flaherty, cabinet member for children, families and education said:
“We know that bringing services together in one place makes a real difference to families.
“The launch of our first Family Hub in Dallam is a proud moment, and I look forward to seeing children, young people and families get even more support as the remaining family hubs open later this year."
