Winter vaccines
There are some things you can do to help yourself stay well in winter. This includes getting your winter vaccines.
Flu and COVID-19 winter vaccines
The flu and COVID-19 vaccines are offered on the NHS every year in autumn or winter to people who need extra protection from these illnesses.
If you're eligible, the NHS will usually let you know when you can get your flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

- pneumococcal vaccine (for babies and adults aged 65 or over)
- RSV vaccine (if you're pregnant, aged 75 or over or live in a care home for older adults)
These vaccinations help protect against serious illnesses that are more common in the winter, including pneumonia.
